Exploring Joy in Everyday Activities
We live in a routine world of work for money, get the money and spend the money! Once you turn eighteen in America, you face the world of virtuous routineness with or without formal introduction. One completely caught up in this for the rest of one’s life. People magically, miraculously, or wisely break off this to find alternative to routines. While in this, others are completely busy or bury their life in this shunning family, hobbies, fun or adventures. The essence of the quest to explore within what one would call fun and commit to having it.
Balancing Work and Play
In the past years of my life, I had mixed fun and work, but I came to realize that both cannot run together. I had lost credible positions because I tried to have fun while working. Now it is imperative that work be work and fun be fun and each defined and planned. This is what we do not understand, when we work, we do so to get money to sustain our lives and when we have fun, we do so to retain our lives. It is the work that prepares vacuum for fun. I do various things at various seasons to get myself together and rejuvenate and doing fun things is one of the things I do. I do not have to pay anyone to get it.
Embracing Outdoor Adventures
Today, it is sunny and warm in my area, and I feel like hiking or taking a scenic walk around my neighborhood. I have been here barely a year, and I have not taken the time to get to know my neighborhood. Today is like the right time to do so since I am also off work. I know this is going to be fun, meeting new people, introducing myself. Believe me, I will draw attention since I look ethnically deferent from my neighbors. With the hope of meeting people like me. Well, if for a reason I did not take a walk I would do something I really love to do when I am indoors.
Creative Hobbies: Knitting and Crocheting
I love knitting and crocheting although I have not done any for a long time. I find joy in turning strings and treads into impressive fabrics that could beautify the living room, cover the bed in beauty or used as table mats. It is incredible what comes out of crocheting or knitting. I think I would give myself the fun of crocheting. I had better check my knitting box to make sure I have all the implements ready. Peradventure I am not able to get all that I need to crochet. I then do what I normally do when loads of worries overwhelm me.
The Joy of Writing and Gaming
Writing gives me joy. Once I feel vacuum in my life I turn to writing. This makes it possible to write in diverse genres. It depends on how I feel and what is on demand but all together it gives me immense joy to pen or type words, joining them together from the depth of my heart to reach who ever would. When writing bores, me, this happens frequently, I resort to researching. Although researching is another type of writing, it does not require tasking my brain because I must task the source to supply all I need at the period for later writing. Oh, gaming refreshes my mind. Although it depends on the type of game. I choose non-physical games or exercise, not outdoors but indoors; I choose to play puzzle on my computer. This is fun to me because I do not lose but gain and give my brain a wash and freshness. I admit that sometimes my spirit wanders away from the game, and I do something else just to keep my mind and body together.
Connect with Friends and Family
Sometimes Living away from family and friends can be priceless but it has its own price to pay. Friends and family with positive relationships can add more years to life. Nevertheless, we find ourselves living away from all at a certain age in one’s lifetime. This is the period of isolation, loneliness and feeling of abandonment. So, whenever I drift away in thought and mesmerizing the memories, I just connect back to them by phone calls or drive for a visit, and a touch of memory gladdens the heart. I could call and arrange a meeting, where we could sit, drink, and tell stories from our memories.
Conclusion
In conclusion, finding joy in everyday life is about embracing the balance between work, play, and connections. It is about recognizing the importance of separating work from fun, engaging in outdoor adventures, indulging in creative hobbies, and cherishing the moments spent with loved ones. By exploring these different avenues of joy, we can enrich our lives, rejuvenate our spirits, and create lasting memories. Remember, life is not just about the routine; it is about the moments that make us feel alive and connected. So, take the time to explore, create, and connect, and you will find that joy is always within reach.
