Healing Our Steps, Reconciling Our Hearts
Featured Scripture:
📖 “All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation.” — 2 Corinthians 5:18 (NIV)
Dear Torchbearers,
Sometimes in ministry, misunderstandings and spiritual rivalries leave bruises we don’t talk about. One holds the other down in the name of conviction, but neither moves. Neither grows. And the Kingdom doesn’t advance.
This is not our call.
We may bear different denominations, different expressions, even differing tones—but we were never called to war against each other. We are branches of one Vine, rooted in the love of Jesus Christ. And the Vine has no interest in division. It seeks fruit, flourishing, and fellowship.
If at some point we’ve stepped on one another’s toes—intentionally or otherwise—let’s choose now to rise above it. Let’s heal. Let’s head toward the Father who has already reconciled us through His Son. It’s time to walk in the ministry He handed us: reconciliation, not rivalry.
Reflection Questions:
- Where have I traded fruitfulness for friction?
- Is there someone I need to release, forgive, or restore?
- Am I ministering from reconciliation or just talking about it?
Let’s Pray:
Father of the Vineyard, You’ve called us to be more than denominations, titles, or roles. You’ve called us to be one body, reconciled in Christ and joined in purpose. Heal the places where we’ve hurt each other. Uproot pride and plant compassion. Let our ministries reflect Your heart—drawing others not to our platforms, but to Your grace.
In Jesus’ name, amen.
This Week’s Challenge:
📌 Reach out to someone you’ve distanced yourself from due to theological or denominational differences. Extend a message of peace, or simply pray for them. Healing starts when humility leads.
